Yesterday was a very special day for the 5th and 6th-grade students as they visited the ONCE Guide Dogs Foundation in Boadilla del Monte. They spent the morning there.
Firstly, they were introduced to the steps of this great project, as the guide dog service is one of the social services provided by ONCE to people with visual disabilities.
This significant effort begins with breeding dogs of specific breeds, which are then fostered by families to socialize, later undergoing training before being handed over to users.
The students had the opportunity to learn about the entire project, interact with the puppies, explore all the facilities, and finally, witness a small training exhibition.
It was a very enriching experience that we are willing to repeat.
