This Monday and Tuesday, we had the opportunity to delve deeper into the sustainable use of water through the sessions led by Alba, a member of Canal Educa, the educational programme run by Fundación Canal and aimed at students in Madrid.
Throughout the activities, our pupils learnt how to become water caretakers: from simple ways to save water in everyday tasks, to understanding the purification process, the recommended amount of water per person, and the impact of excessive consumption. They also enjoyed a variety of engaging, sustainability-related activities.
The experience was highly enriching and helped us become aware of the great privilege of having unlimited access to drinking water every day. For this reason, we now understand even better the importance of looking after it and using this essential resource responsibly.
