DISCOVERING THE GARDEN IN SPRING

The students of the First Cycle of Primary Education have enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Prince’s Garden.

We wanted to compare the landscape that we knew in Autumn with the one that Spring offers us now.

The change has left us open-mouthed: we have seen the first buds on the trees, the branches full of new leaves and the flowers that begin to fill the garden with colour. We have also listened and observed the animals that return with the good weather, such as birds, butterflies and many other insects that remind us that life awakens with force.

It was very special to meet one of the “grandparents of the Garden”: the Father Plane tree, an impressive tree with more than 250 years of life, a true champion when it comes to producing oxygen and cleaning the air we breathe.

We returned to school a little tired but happy to have enjoyed this unforgettable morning.

We have learned that the best way to love and care for nature is first to know and admire it.
