On Wednesday, we went on a field trip with the 1st and 2nd grade classes to the Jardín del Príncipe to observe the changes that occur in autumn. During the walk, the students were able to see how the leaves change color, how they fall to the ground, and how the landscape transforms during this season.
We also took the opportunity to learn more about the garden, its history, and some of its most important features. We saw the statue at the beginning of the path, talked about why it is called the Jardín del Príncipe, and discovered some of its most remarkable fountains, such as the Fountain of Narcissus, the Swan Fountain, and the Fountain of Apollo. The children paid attention to their shapes, figures, and details, learning to observe calmly and with curiosity.
It was a wonderful morning in which we enjoyed the fresh air, the autumn scenery, and the chance to learn a little more about our local surroundings.
