THE WATER THAT SURROUNDS ARANJUEZ

As usual, this year we held Family Workshops.

The mothers of 1st and 2nd grade students joined us during this day to explain the importance of water in our municipality. The Tajo and Jarama rivers, the Ontígola sea, and the waters from the Embocador were the main reasons why the kings decided to build palaces, gardens, and groves to enjoy their free time.

Our students’ mothers explained how the engineers of the time created canals to irrigate the fields and systems to make the fountains expel water and look magnificent for everyone to enjoy.

Finally, they built a rain stick that they decorated with great originality, and we all rang it in unison, imitating the sound of water falling at different intensities.

A thousand thanks to the mothers who collaborated and made us have a very special day.
